Another PRO feature is our Tag Import/Export.

This feature allows you to export all tag data as a CSV file, modify it, and then upload it again.

This feature is especially useful for large projects with many tags whose content needs to be updated regularly, as the tags can also be edited externally.
A CSV export of the tags can also be used as a "backup" of the tag data!

All Tag data in one CSV

The tag import/export feature provides you with an easy-to-read CSV file containing all the important information about your tags. This file can be easily edited and then uploaded back into MPskin - ideal for large projects with many tags. CSV files can be opened and edited with Excel, for example.

Tag management made easy

Manage your tags efficiently by editing them externally. Content can be quickly updated or completely overhauled without having to do it directly in the tour. This saves time and ensures organized tag management, especially for content that changes frequently. You can even create scripts to automate the updating of certain data.

Tag Export as data backup

With just a few clicks, you can pull a copy of your tag data! The CSV export therefore also provides a reliable backup solution, ensuring that no data is lost and you can always revert to previous tag versions.

FAQs about Tag Import/Export

Tag import/export is a PRO feature, available only with the PRO plan.

When importing CSV tag data, please note the following points:

UTF-8 format: Make sure the CSV file is saved in UTF-8 format to avoid problems with special characters.
Correct column structure: The file must contain the required columns (e.g. id, label_en, mediaType, etc.) exactly as they appear in the export. Changing the structure or adding extra columns may prevent import.
Pay attention to data types: Make sure fields like “bgcolor” are entered correctly as a hexadecimal color code (e.g. #ffffff) and fields like anchorPosition are entered in the specified format (e.g. x=... y=...).
Fill in mandatory fields: Some fields like id and label_en are mandatory. If they are missing or empty, the import may fail. The tag ID and the regular ID must NOT be changed!
Backup the original data: Before importing, it's advisable to back up the original file to avoid data loss in case of an error.

If the import still fails, check the error message in the system and modify the CSV accordingly.

No, unfortunately this is not possible. Tags cannot be recreated or created via CSV.
If you want to transfer tag data from one skin to another, you can simply duplicate the original skin and then exchange the space ID.

You may have formatted the CSV incorrectly or changed the structure. See question #2 above for more details about possible causes of the problem.
