Feature:
Tag Categories

Create an unlimited number of categories for your tags, choose colors and icons for the different categories and add them to the menu.

Tags can be turned on and off per category in the tour, helping users to navigate through the space.
You can decide which categories are to be displayed in the menu as well as activate a search bar for the added categories. Tag management has never been so easy!

Never lose track of your Tags again

With MPskin you can create as many categories for tags as you like! Each category can be assigned its own color and icon, so both you and your users always maintain a clear overview.

Tag categories can also be integrated directly into the menu - you can freely choose which categories you would like to be listed in the menu.

Tag Search

In addition to listing the categories in the menu, you can also incorporate a tag search.
The tag search only indexes tags that have also been activated in the menu as a category - this means that you can also deliberately exclude certain tags from the search!
Tags without a category are always listed as “Uncategorized”, so this feature is also available without creating categories.

Showing and hiding Tags

But that's not all:
Tags can also be shown and hidden per category with a simple click on the eye symbol.
In this way, users can view only tags that are relevant to them and hide tags that are not needed.

FAQs about Tag Categories

Can Tag Categories also be integrated in the menu without a colored background?

Yes, that's not a problem! You can simply leave the background color of the category blank or delete it.

Do I need to create categories to be able to use the Tag Search?

No! If you have not created any categories, all tags are considered “Uncategorized”.
In the menu builder, you can simply select “Uncategorized” in the “Tag Categories” tab and then activate the tag search.

How can I add Tags to the Menu without a Category/Search?

Tags can also be integrated into the menu without categorization and without a search. To do this, navigate to “Tag categories” in the menu builder and select “Uncategorized”.

Can I activate the Tag Search without listing the Tags?

Unfortunately not, the tag search only ever indexes listed tags.

What gets indexed/searched in the Tag Search?

The Tag Search indexes both the tag title and the description text.

How else can I make use of Categories?

Categories can also be helpful for filtering out tags in the backend, allowing you to edit them more quickly - especially if you have created a lot of tags.

Categories can therefore help you in your daily workflow!
