Feature:
Statistics / Google Analytics

In addition to MPskin's built-in "Stats" tab, where you can view the tour's statistics and heatmap, you can also integrate a Google Analytics 4 ID into each skin!

Connecting your Skin to GA4 will provide you with comprehensive data: a breakdown of views by country, which devices were used, which tags were clicked and how often, average use time, and more.
With the MPskin heatmap, you can even see an overview of the most visited scan points!

Statistics

In each skin, the basic statistics can be accessed in the "Stats" tab - this includes "Visits", "Sessions" and "Users". An explanation of these three parameters can be found here.
To receive statistics for a skin, the cookie option must be enabled! Data will only be collected if cookies are enabled. The implementation of a cookie banner or similar is your responsibility.

Heatmap

Want to know where users spend the most time on the tour? Our new Heatmap feature tracks every single scan point and shows you exactly how people interact with your spaces.
The darker and larger the circle, the more frequently that point was visited - giving you and your clients valuable insight into visitor behavior!

Google Analytics

In addition to the statistics provided in MPskin, you can also connect your skin to a Google Analytics 4 ID! GA4 provides extensive data such as usage by country, device or individual click events.

Please note that you should have some experience with Google Analytics in order to analyze this data.

FAQs about Statistics / Google Analytics

Is there a pre-made cookie banner available?

Unfortunately not. As there are different requirements for cookie banners from country to country, we cannot offer a legally valid cookie banner.
In addition, cookies are already being written as soon as the tour is accessed, so it is best to integrate any banner directly into your own website rather than in the tour itself.

Are the Heatmap and GA4 included in all plans?

Yes!

Are there any instructions for using GA4?

To use GA4, you should already be familiar with the platform, as we cannot provide support for it.

However, we have already created a tutorial for the initial setup: GA4-Setup Tutorial

What kind of data is available in GA4?

In addition to the origin and device data of the users, GA4 also writes so-called "events" - for example, navigation to/from a sweep point, which tags or VS elements were clicked, and much more.
However, this data arrives in GA4 rather "raw" - it is advisable to prepare the data for clear evaluation.

What data is shown in the heatmap?

The heatmap shows which sweep points are visited the most/least. The heatmap reflects user data from the last 90 days.
To illustrate this, the sweep points are represented by differently colored circles. The color scale is divided into 10 segments, each representing 10% of all visits - in other words, the darkest color represents the top 10% of most visited sweep points.

You can also see the absolute number of visits by hovering over each sweep point.

If you have recently enabled cookies, only the data received since activation will be displayed.
